EVLTEST – from EVLUTION NUTRITION – Testosterone Booster Review

EVL TEST BottleEVLTEST is Evlution Nutrition’s main ‘Testosterone Support Complex’. It is a capsule supplement which contains a formula of ingredients selected to boost your natural (endogenous) levels of testosterone.

EVL is a brand which has come to the forefront of the supplement industry in the last couple of years. One explanation for this is their use of clever branding, attractive packaging, attractive sports models.

The most important thing to us, however, is that they often include good ingredients at relevant dosages.

We took EVL TEST for a spin to see if it was one of the company’s good products, or a flop like so many other testosterone boosters.

EVLTEST – Promised Benefits

This is a testosterone booster made by a sports supplement company, so the following benefits are geared towards someone who works out, rather than simply needs a lift in Test levels.

  • Supports Natural Testosterone Levels
  • Muscular Strength
  • Stamina
  • Performance
  • Optimal Sleep

If you have healthy levels of testosterone, and are otherwise in good health, the above benefits should be something you experience anyway.

For someone who works out 4 or more times a week in resistance training, the addition of a supplement like this should help you replenish necessary nutrients that you use up or lose during the exercise, not to mention the fact that your body can use extra testosterone as an anabolic muscle growth agent.

How Does EVLTEST Work?

Each of the ingredients in the formula are included to have one or more of the following effects:

  1. Increase Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in order to stimulate leydig cells in testes to produce more testosterone
  2. Increase Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) to produce more sperm (synergistic with LH)
  3. Reduce Aromatase activity; the enzyme which converts testosterone to estradiol (estrogen)
  4. Control Estrogen levels so that added testosterone does not simply mean increased aromatization
  5. Reduce 5-alpha-reductase (5-AR) activity; the enzyme which converts testosterone to DHT (dihydrotestosterone)*

*Note: DHT is actually a stronger androgen than testosterone, meaning it may be of more use to someone wanting more muscle. However, thee overall health benefits of testosterone are better.

Key Ingredients

EVLTEST’s ability to have any of the above effects lies firmly within its formula. Ingredients and their dosages are as follows:

1000 IU – Vitamin D
11mg       – Vitamin B6
160mg    – Magnesium
30mg      – Zinc

3120mg  – D-Aspartic Acid (D-AA)
750mg    – Tribulus Terrestris
500mg    – Fenugreek
250mg    – Diindolylmethane (DIM)

Vitamin D in OilVitamin D, Magnesium, Zinc and B6 are the vitamins and micronutrients that the male body needs to have a good base level of testosterone. Without having these elements in these quantities, there wouldn’t be much point in trying to further boost testosterone.

The remaining 4 ingredients are common enough in T boosters of this kind. The two that stand out to us are D-AA and DIM. Both are at excellent dosages and have been shown in scientific studies to have both testosterone boosting effects and estrogen inhibiting effects.

D-Aspartic Acid has even demonstrated a 50% testosterone increase within as little as 2 weeks, though this is most likely to happen if you are experiencing a lull in your T levels, or if you have been pushing hard in the weights room.

Fenugreek and Tribulus are – in our opinion – the weaker half of the recipe. Fenugreek may act as a 5-AR inhibitor, meaning less testosterone will be converted to DHT.

It’s also a worthwhile dose of Fenugreek, but for muscle and strength building it is not the best.

Tribulus Terrestris has been shown to increase libido, but hasn’t had great success at boosting testosterone itself. Libido increases can have a secondary effect of increasing training aggression, but Tribulus is otherwise a pseudo T booster.

Side Effects and Other Issues

doctorThe average person will experience no negative impacts of EVL TEST. We certainly did not, and we are very attuned to noticing these things after all of the supplement runs we have done.

People who should avoid supplements of this kind include: people with pre-existing medical conditions, people taking prescription medication, and pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Consult your doctor if you have any doubts about whether this product is suitable for you.

Conclusions and Recommendations

Prime Male – The Best

After using EVLTEST, we have found it to be a solid testosterone booster. The dose of D-AA alone can help men who are pushing themselves in the gym to pick up their natural levels quickly.

The DIM dose is another good one and can keep those estrogen levels in check, while even keeping some of the increased free testosterone from being aromatized.

While tribulus and fenugreek are not the most powerful ingredients, they are included at good doses here.

We will not be using EVLTEST instead of our usual testosterone boosters, the best of which is still Prime Male with the most impressive and powerful recipe available.
